Hello!

Just thought I'd jump in here and ask if anyone would be interested if we did a baby wearing chat night in the chatroom?

Hi Charlotte,

Here's a link to another thread on the same topic. http://www.pregnancyforum.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=34257

there are some pictures of people baby wearing and some advise, Mel is great to talk to as she's a baby wearing expert and may be able to help you with a cheap alternative, as they are very expensive.

SSS, it's a great way of bonding with your baby as well. If you put Baby Wearing or Baby wraps into a google search there's heaps of sites you should be able to go to explaning the benefits of doing it. Also with two other small boys you might even benefit from having the hands free to be able to deal with them while being close to bubba! :)

Urchin i would definitely be up for participating in a chat about Baby wearing, although i'm not a mum yet i want to find out as much as possible about anything that i can, this included! Although i've got to say, i've already got my eye on two wraps that i will be purchasing as soon as the miracle happens! :)

:D :D :D :D

yeah id love to have a chat with anybody interested in babywearing

A piece of strong cloth will work fine hun. You need to make sure all the edges are hemmed to make its strong and so the threads wont pull. Most people need a wrap to be 4.6 to 5 yards long to be able to do all carries including a back wrap cross carry.
It also needs to be 35 - 45 inches wide at least for it to be totally safe.
Look for cotton "gauzes", crinkle cotton, and cotton "weaves" fabric and you will be fine. You should be able to make your own wrap for about £5

Hope that helps hun.
