Hi lovelies,

As some of you may know (November mummies thread) I've been on bed rest for a few weeks now due to fears the little lady would make an early appearance. I lost my plug at 32 weeks or thereabouts and my cervix had started effacing. I had an appointment last week and am not dilated, but the little miss is fully engaged which is also pretty uncomfortable for me. Also I have bad pelvic girdle pain which has pretty much kept me inside and confined to a walking distance of 250m since the beginning of August. So there's my back story.

Now, at nearly 37 weeks (this Saturday), I don't need to worry about the little lady popping out too early anymore and being a preemie. I also don't want to hang around in pain and with all the pressure of an engaged baby noggin until my due date on 7th November. Basically, are there any tips for tipping me over the edge so to speak to get things moving? I feel that I've done so little, avoided steps, avoided carrying my 20 month old and the like for so long, that I want to ease myself into being "less cautious" so that this next baby actually comes out!!!

There's sex obviously, which I've also had to abstain from, but anything else? I can't really start scrubbing floors because I literally won't be able to get up afterwards due to pelvic girdle pain.

Help!

I'm in same boat as in just want the tinker out as can't cope with the pain and pressure in my pelvis any more. Unfortunately I tried it all last time and still went 9 days over so I don't believe in the old wives tales. However my mw recommended I start expressing as she thinks that would set me off. Gravity is always a good one too but like I say I tried that last time walked bloody miles and it did nothing!

So I'm gonna try the expressing as it can't hurt and might help my milk come in faster!
