Is this after your initial referral or have you already had testing and other types of treatment first? We were seen by the GP in Nov 13, had to have a few tests done before they would refer, so referral was Feb 14. After more testing we started with ovulation induction in Oct 15, we were given 6 cycles which took us to July 16, when we had the option to go for IVF but I wanted to do more ovulation induction first, so we were given another 6 cycles worth, then we would have gone for IVF after that if it hadn't worked, which would have been circa March/April 17 as a start date for IVF.
So ours would have been a long time. But we had lots of issues, I had mcs, problems with tests being rearranged due to staffing issues at the clinic etc. It also depends a bit on what they find and what treatment options are open to you. I've seen some ladies be referred and start IVF much much faster than we would have done, so don't be disheartened.
