im not sure hun i would ask at the chemist and see if there is anything like a baby meltus or something similar you could give her hope shes better soon
in the meantime some boiled water might soothe a little and if she is phlemy (sp) might thin it a little

i think if shes coughing then leave it. you cough for a reason.
