Different Coughs?

How do you know which cough is which?

How can you tell what is a tickly cough, a dry cough, a chest cough?

Which medicine do i give when i can't tell the difference, all i know is it's a horrible cough and makes her sick, and choke.

i'd pop her to the docs hun! katie had bad cough a few months back, and we were told that at that age, everything's so close together that a tickly cough can sound chesty and stuff cos everythin's so rattly and that! plus if they'll give you a prescription its free hope she's better soon xx

I wouldnt try to guess. Just go to the Drs and see what they say hun

Ive been to the doc so many times, they keep saying it's just a cough, give her a few days she will get better.

How long has she had it?

It comes and goes, at present she has had this one since Mon night. took her to the docs yesterday they said the same as they say every time, it will pass, it's the time of year, keep her warm, lots of steam in the bathroom etc.

Hebe had one for 3 weeks before we got some antibiotics.

If she sounds phlegmy then try some chesty cough syrup but if she's barking I'd try dry so it lubricates her throat to give her a bit of a rest from it
