Thrush

Hey all! have been on anti-biotics for a uti? and now i have Thrush! (groans) i read the anti-biotics side effects and that was a common one, is there any creams (internal i think i have it ) that i can use while pregs im 5+3 help!!!!

hi ive just had a water infection and thrush they are thankfully just easing off now, i tried the caneston pessary which is fine to use in pregnancy unfortunately for me it didnt work but the doctor said it is usually very effective.

i ended up gettin a perscription for some other pessaries that you use over a longer period
so if the caneston pessary doesnt work go to the doctors and ask i'm sure you'll get something similar.

Saffy - As an emergency treatment, just till you get to the doctors, you could use live yoghurt. That helps calm the sore areas affected by thrush.

Lyn - glad to read you are feeling a bit better. I really found the longer term pessaries worked best for me too.

thanks sabrina yea i went to the docs armed with your response and said someone suggsted these.. lol and she gave them to me and after 3 days they seemed to be working a treat
