Thrush and Pesseries

Hi, I've been suffering from bad thrush in pregnancy and the midwife gave me a pessery well it didn't work so I got a test to check and of course it was just thrush so she said I should have a double dose so when I phoned up to get my presciption ordered at the docs, they told me it was a prescrption for 3 pesseries and I was to take them each night for 3 nights. You see it wasn't the midwife who done the prescription it was the doc and when I asked the receptionist if the doc knows I'm preg and if it's safe she just said well he must. So does anyone know if this is safe?

Hello,

Don't worry 3 pessaries is a full course and should clear it up for you I have recently finished a course of 3 too and it won't harm the baby just don't use the applicator use you finger as it states in the instructions as the applicator could rip something and its too much of a risk in pregnancy.
