Thoughts- 2 middle names

We have our first names decided and have had middles names right from the beginning as they are in tribute of important family members. However we are now thinking about having 2 middle names (all family ones.)

Looking more for opinions on the concept of having 2 middle names and whether they sound completely rediculous together.

Boy's Name- Lucian Brian Scotcher now maybe Lucian Brian Ray Scotcher or Lucian Brian Robert Scotcher

Girls's Name- Freya Patricia Scotcher now maybe Freya Patricia Ann Scotcher

I have two middle names, as does my sister, nephew and son. If I have a daughter she will have two middle names. There's no problem with it

Thanks girls. Yay for me not being wierd for wanting 2 middle names.

They are all grandparents names as both of us are close to our grandparents. My only worry is with the boys name that both middle names would be my OH's family. I wish I could use my grandad's names but they are Adrian and Alwyn neither of which go with Brian which was decided on months ago.

What's wrong with Lucian Brian Alwyn Scotcher? I can see why Adrian would feel like too many -ians but I think Alwyn is fine if you want to include your side too. Or you could go for Lucian Alwyn Brian Scotcher if you think it flows better? (I do) xx

Thanks guys. I don't really like the name Alwyn and am glad I can just call them dad and grandad (same names), lol.

I thought about Lucian Brian Al Scotcher to shorten it but thought it sounded a little wierd but is suppose not much different to using Ray or Ann which are both short. Will discuss with my OH as he has been thinking about it too. In the same vain could shorten Adrian to Ady I suppose which is what everyone refers to my grandad as.

Frustrating as we were set on names and now this has me thinking all over again. x

Hello. My son has two middle names after our brothers. My dilemma now is my daughter as I want just one as im not keen on my MILs name and it doesn't go as well, so will just be my mums name, which is my middle name. Dread the thought x

Think we made a decision. Slightly funny as OH had assumed we would have one name from each family so when I said about it he was a bit confused as thought it was non negotiable. Think the final name choices are-

Freya Patricia Ann Scotcher
Lucian Brian Ady Scotcher

Now we just have to hope baby looks like the name we have picked.
