those who top up there bottles with hot water

instead of heating them up..

how do i go about this for a 5 oz bottle...i.e. how much cooled water to put in first...then when i top it up is the water from a flask? or straight from the kettle? is it boiling when you top it up etc?

If you use a flask is it ok just to use a thermos? how do you know if the temp is correct etc?

Would i need to sterlise the thermos? i'm assuming not as i dont sterlise the kettle

For 5 oz I'd have about 3oz cooled water and 2oz boiling water. I usually have the water in a Thermos and replace it a couple of times a day. I wash it out with boiling water. Sometimes I just do it straight from the kettle. Depends on what kind of mood I'm in

As DSL said..I usually top mine up with boiling water from the kettle.
