This may be a very blonde question

Right if this is just common sense i'm sorry lol.
Is going into pre term labour a genetic thing?
I know this sounds weird but my nan had my mom and uncle a few weeks early and my mom had me and my brothers between 35-37 weeks so i was just wondering if it was a genetic thing?
