Think OH is getting sick of baby chat

Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been hiding away just reading the posts, thought it was about time I write something. We have just started ttc (18th sept) and I'm all excited about it, but starting to think my oh isn't , he works away so I'm on my own and don't have any friends where I live, I'm moving down south on my own next week to be closer to his family but they don't know we have started to ttc. So I can't talk to them about it. Just feels like every time I bring it up he's not that interested. Just feeling a bit alone at the momet.

I had the same with dh when we were TTC and he hasn't got much more interested now that I am 27 weeks pregnant! I got upset a few weeks ago because of this and ended up having a chat with him. He explained that with everything else we have going on (mortgages, moving house etc) he couldn't settle into thinking about baby! I also think they don't get as excited we do until they actually have a bub in their arms. Have a chat with him. I'm sure he is just being a typical man!

Thanks for the reply, will have a chat with him about it all, I think all my hormones are up in the air too after stopping the pill, that's probably not helping. Xx

I remember this!! It completely sucked as I had no one to talk to either. Come to that I swear my oh isn't interested half the time now and our lo is nearly one! Xx

We'll I spoke to him and told him how I felt, explained I don't have anyone else to talk to about it and it's all new and exciting to me ( he's already got a daughter). He seemed to understand, but I think from now on I will just chat to you lovely ladies about it all.

This place has been a godsend for me. All of my friends have school age children, they are well past baby chat. Would have been lost without the fab advice and support from the pf ladies! We are here for you hun! X

Thank you! Well seeing OH tomorrow as it's the only day we are seeing each other this week due to work, fingers crossed his little fish find there way! X

My oh was excited & even more so now we have our little boy but he got sick of talking about ttc & didn't like talking about it. To him it took the excitement out of sex & made it all about dates & ovulation. He found it too much pressure. Bear in mind it could take you months to conceive, you need to try & chill out about it. Yes it's very exciting but you should try & continue with normal life as much as possible. It took me 8 months to conceive & it was only when u chilled out about it & stopped thinking & talking about it that it happened. Good luck x
