Hi ladies

Back in October, when I wasn't PG prob around the time that I was trying to persuade DH to start ttc I booked for us to go to Wetherby races and stay overnight with friends as a surprise for DH birthday.

Well, it's tomorrow we are supposed to be going - weather permitting!! if not we are going to go into York, girls can shop and men can find a pub somewhere!! and then go to Wetherby have some food and some drinks on night. The night is worrying me - the only thing I can physically drink is sparkling water but the main worry is bedtime - the latest I have been up lately is 9.30pm - I really don't know how I am going to cope being up till after 11pm and with a drunk DH!!!

Good luck hun, I know what you mean about late nights being no later than 9.30 these days. This is a late night for me!

Hopefully, you'll be having so much fun, the tiredness won't kick in so much.

Hope you have a great weekend :D

I have exactly the same dilema tonight! We are going to Manchester with friends to a Ricky Hatton sportsmans dinner, and dh does not want to miss it understandably! The thing is we are all getting a minibus there and back and it doesn't pick us up until 1in the morning. I know I will be dead on my feet and I won't be able to escape. In fact I have just told him I probably won't go! I hate missing stuff though! If you are staying overnight in a hotel, maybe all head back to the hotel for drinks and if you feel like nodding off, you can go upto bed?

Hi Lindsay and clairdoran, just wondering how your night out (s) went yesterday. Hope you had a great time.

Hi hun thanks for asking :D

The races were abandoned so we went into York for the day, the girls did a bit of shopping while the men found a pub near to a bookies and had some bets on races that were running.

We then went into Wetherby to the hotel got changed and went out for a meal and drinks on the night. DH was soooo drunk. By 11pm, I was ready to go to bed and was so sick of sparkling water but I managed ok.

The following morning at breakfast was hilarious, everyone looked so rough and felt so ill.
