United utilites!.. Been renting my house since aug last year and never had a water bill, so comes home this aft to a £850 bill, £580 of which they want straight away!! I rang them and said Ha thats just not gunna happen after bout 20 mins of going thro my situation and options the lovely fella on phone popped my thro to debt mangement and they have accepted me for a thing where i pay 10.37 a wk if i keep up my payments (which i will) after 3 mths they will match what i've paid in nice people think i may just love them

glad you got it sorted so quick must have been a shock to get that bill funny how they didnt set up a quartely bill a yearly one is a bit much to pay all in one
did you get them to set up some thing like this so it dosnt happen agian?

The bill was from august 2007 when i moved in till march 2009! the £10.37 a wk will cover the whole £850. my debt is £311 upto end of march and all rest is for water i've not used yet! Asked to go on meter as rateable value for this property is really high he says £245 don't really know what it means but works out about £50 a mth so thats sound expensive to me so hoping the meter will change that ( there's only gunna be me and LO). Don't know why they hadn't sorted it out earlier should have been a good girl and popped money aside but.........ah wel it worked out good he ringing back tomorrow to take bank details. I still can't believe how nice they were.. makes a change! xx

Knew it was too good to be true.. fella supposed to ring this morn at 9.30 to set everything up.. he didn't call.. i rang them they said he was on another call he'd ring when finished.. has he? has he bloody hell!
