So I thought I'd strt a thread about knitting! We can share patterns etc and our creations :) I have done 2 pairs of mittens 2 hats and a pair of booties so far will upload pics asap

good idea for a thread!!!! I started a blanket when I was 12 weeks, only done a quarter of it so far  hoping to get it finished when I start maternity leave in 2 weeks!!! I've found it quite complicated so will be really chuffed when I get it finished, I'll post a pic up when I get home tonight and I can PM the pattern to any one who wants it.

My mil has knitted a gorgeous white cardi with little blue duck buttons, I love it! I would love to do a little cardi myself but most of the patterns are for girls and not boys, so if anyone has any nice boy baby patterns please feel free to share!!! :)

Sorry to sneak it as I'm not pregnant (yet!!) but I knit 2 cardigans for my wee nephew recently. One is really simple round neck and 2nd one has hood and cable down each side of the front.

If anyone is interested in pattern PM me address and I can post copy. xx

That's a really cute cardigan! I can't knit (yet) but maybe my mum will help me out!

Yay a knitting thread! I have made a load of stuff mostly to stock an online shop. I will be knitting from home and quitting my job (last day is Wednesday!) so am really excited (I am totally rebranding and all that, lots of work so will keep me busy!). You can check out my knitting blog, but the more recent stuff is on my flickr stream, which is linked from my blog. I have a few free patterns on there as well, but nothing for kiddos yet!

ohh, yay a knitting thread! I'm a beginner too, just finished my first cardi! Ava has loads of hand knitted stuff as all the women in our family knit. I'm currently having visions of EVERYTHING knitted, including swimsuits etc!
Its so great, all the time and effort and love that goes into it. You just can't buy that in a shop. I was raised in hand made and hand knitted as was my Brother, simply cause we were tight on money. Wouldn't change it though! It is a family joke that Ava will have to have her first Aran soon as it is a right of passage lol!

Hi ladies, I'm a rubbish knitter but I really want to make something other than a scarf or a Barbie sleeping bag! Can you tell me how I sort my tension out as I always end up fighting with my needles :( I'm also a left handed knitter!

Thanks
Emma
