I was hoping to come to this forum and find everyone ranting about their in laws but nobody is so maybe this is just me...
I have been with my OH for over 12 years and I have always got on with his parents. Three weeks ago we had our first child and I can't believe the change in ppl and myself!
My OHs parents are driving me mad!! They are so overpowering with our baby, they take over when they visit (to the point that I can't feed or change my child). My OH has joked about this. I don't see the funny side. They are constantly in our child's face and they fight over him.
I have broke down and told my OH this (even though I felt really guilty). He listened, agreed but has done nothing about it. His solution is for me not to be there when they visit. I have sacrificed time with my new baby to get out of the situation before I say something I regret.
I know I'm being unreasonable but I can't change how I feel.
Any advice welcome or has anyone been in a similar situation?

Firstly you are not being unreasonable.

Secondly your OH should try to be more understanding and come up with a better solution than you shouldn't be there!

I know how you feel my inlaws were a nightmare when I had S, They were all saying I had PND because they came round once and i was wearing my dressing gown... four days after a c section!

In my opinion hun I think you just have to tell them straight how you feel of oh wont.
Tbh I am a little worrie my ohs mum will be like this not through her been meen or anything just through the fact me and my oh are young
I could see her just comming over all the time to do things as she is so excited abouts bump :\ might sound harsh but Obv I'm happy she's
Excited but still little worried as I want to do things myself woth oh.(can only wait and see and if she is ill have to tell her to back off nicely)

Good luck hope you sort them out :)
