Anyone know how long after a normal delivery you can hit the gym?
Anything to avoid there?
Any advice??
Thanks girls x

Think it's just the 6 weeks? Then nothing too strenuous x

Yup 6 weeks whilst your innards settle down and the sensible build up. I'd just do some gentle walking and pottering around the house at first.

6 weeks???? Not this weekend then???? :(
Boooooooo, gutted now :( x

OMG! What's wrong with you  Haha, it's only because I feel inadequate.

I started buggy fit at 6 weeks but was still limited to as to what I could safely do - no sit ups and no jogging/running because of the breast feeding x

Crazeee laydee... Lol OJ

I think 6 weeks like everyone else said?

Though I waited 12 just to be sure... Lol

I LOVE the gym, it's amazing and lifts my spirits. I love the classes and I love swimming.
I hate this wobbly baby belly, the sooner I can start blasting it, the better! x

Wish I had your motivation! I'd love to like the gym... Where do you find the time?!?xxx

I am very impressed with your motivation!

:D

Well the other kids are at school so I'll feed the baby and then go to the gym for an hour whilst my sister minds him because he feeds every 2 hours x

Why dont you start with just walking, it actually helps muscles to pull back into normal position etc plus you can start pelvic floors.
You can walk faster and see how you feel.
It took me at least 4 weeks to feel relatively ok but i lost reasonable amount of blood.

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I've been going up and down the stairs as often as I can to exercise x

Im going back next week ... can't blimmin wait!

Also will be returning to taekwondo in 2 weeks - excited much???? :pompom:

:yay: it gives you such a lift doesn't it. I cannot wait! x

Now I've lost my baby weight and more I'm desp to help the last few years of contented chunk along. I'm thinking of doing situps today and seeing how it feels tomorrow. I'd say go with ur body and let it guide you? X

I feel ready but I don't want to over do it. I'll do some light exercise then hit the gym at 6 weeks I think :) x
