Had 3rd round of IVF/ICSI.

For the first time ever, we got one "top-quality" embryo (8-cell).

This and a grade 3 (second-best grade) 10-cell embryo were transferred on day 3. The rest didn't make it to day 5 (as usual).

Today, 8dp3dt I did an OPK and there was a reasonably strong second line. Encouraged by this I did an HPT and there was a very very faint line, but it is there.

I have 5 days to go before the "official" test requested by the doctor.

I did have hcg in my system in my 2nd IVF cycle but that went negative so I know it's all pretty touch and go at this stage.

Got to stop obsessing and somehow get through the next week!! We've been trying well over 3 years now and this feels like the best hope we've had in a long time!

Fingers crossed for you, sounds promising :)

Omg tinsel! How exciting. I've just had ivf/icsi as well. I got faint positive tests from about 8dp2dt. I didn't know if it was the trigger or not, but kept testing and the lines got stronger.

I really hope this is it for you! Got everything crossed for you!!

xx

Thanks ladies!

Esperanza, I just saw you got your BFP - big congrats!! I hope this time I can join you on your second journey!

My abdomen has been super-uncomfortable all day - can't sit, stand or lie down comfortably. Hope this means that something small is/are getting comfortable inside!

My OH doesn't want me to test until the 'official' date now but I think that may be hard to resist.

Wishing you a beautiful dark line on OTD tinsel, you've definitely waited far too long. Good luck and a massive sprinkling of sticky bean dust for you.:dust:

Thanks flibbs!

Oh dear - this morning (9dp3dt ~ 12dpo) I repeated my tests.

The OPK was darker, now just about positive.
The HPT was lighter than yesterday, barely perceptible.

I may have been able to write that off but I'm no longer "feeling" pregnant this morning. :(

This happened to me too. My theory is that when I did the first tests (which were "pretty" dark) I still had hormones from the trigger shot in my body, and than when I did the next test, it got fainter (because these hormones had left my body, and it was just the hormones from the pregnancy, which was still not a lot). I also had loads of symptoms a few days and than they disappeared.

Have you had progesterone supplies? I think these gave me loads of symptoms. Hang in there! I'm crossing everything for you.

btw - do you have a pic of your tests?

Here's a pic of my first tests.

Also - pregnancy tests vary in strength. As you see my this pic the last ones were getting fainter (I panicked, but all is ok). Your hormone levels also fluctuates throughout the day - not all women get the best tests in the morning.

Hey hon

I hope it's the same thing!

The progesterone has definitely been giving me symptoms. Yesterday I couldn't help but feel where the embryo had attached (based on previous experience). But today I woke up and wasn't hot or anything, and didn't feel anything.

Pics attached of OPK and HPT - more recent one for each is underneath. These are equivalent to 11dpo and 12dpo, and I suppose it is giving me some hope that it looks a bit similar to yours! xx

I am using 10 (unit) sensitivity tests so the ultra-sensitive ones, not the standard 25 (unit) ones that doctors use.

p.s. my phone camera is rubbish, there are definitely some lines on the blue ones visible to the naked eye!

I see the lines on both hpts. I sometimes (still) wake up and feel completely normal - like I'm not pregnant at all. So I think symptoms vary as well.

Also, I felt it took almost 3 days before my lines got visible stronger so hang in there!!

Got everything crossed for you.

Will they do some bloods as well?

Its not just the progesterone tinsel, pregnancy symptoms are a nightmare of coming and going. I was only happy when I felt crap! And when it all goes in tri2 its like losing your comfort blanket. If you try a superdrug test I bet you'd get a better line. The 10iu ones are a bit iffy. If you can be arsed trawling through to find the right page have a look at the ones I did on my old journal. I got a good line on superdrug test when gettibg cheapie hpt and opks like that.

I think it looks really hopeful for you. Hang on bean (s)!!!!

Thanks for your reassurance Esperanza & Fliss!

Last time I was relaxed about symptoms etc and then went on to have a MMC and have spent the last 2 years wondering if there had been something I could have done to prevent it.

So a bit more anxious now!

I will endeavour to remind myself that feeling like a blown-up balloon ready to pop may be a good sign!

I'm not expecting to have bloods done, just the normal home test they gave me for saturday.

Thanks gemma love

I was really sorry to read about your loss, my thoughts are with you & wishing you all the best for September xx

I seem to be POAS crazy. After seeing Esperanza's HPTs around this time, I am avoiding doing one of those for a couple of days.

But there seems to be a progression on the OPK front - I hope so much that this could be it!

10dp3dt (13dpo) today.

p.s. sorry if this is not the place to be posting this, I just don't want to revisit my TTC journal.

Those opk's are looking great!! If you took a frer or digi they would so be positive!! Xxx

Some nice strong opks there hun, I could also easily see the two lines on your hpts will be keeping everything crossed for you xx

Wow! You are a strong woman for not doing hpts! But as you say - probably a good idea to wait a couple of days!!

When will you do your next hpt than? Im so eager to see your tests now:) lol

xx
