Hello ladies,

I currently have a really bad toothache and am in so much pain, I have a broken wisdom tooth which needs to be extracted but my dentist said due to how the tooth has grown this has to be done under GA, this was before I found out I was pregnant.

A hospital appointment has been made for January for a consultation as I had very little pain before so it was not considered urgent but it’s unlikely they will do the procedure whilst I’m pregnant anyway. Since becoming pregnant my gums have become more sensitive and my tooth is in agony.

I know it is not advisable to take ibuprofen when pregnant so I have taken paracetamol but it hasn’t helped. Does anyone have any advise on ways I can relieve the pain until I can go see the dentist, I am currently 8 weeks 3 days x

My dentist told me natural anaesthetic is clove oil and it apparently works wonders for tooth pain. I knew it would make me heave and vomit
So just couldn't bring myself to try it and took Paracetamol until the pain went away, which took about a week and a half. I was so bloody miserable!! Could barely open my mouth!!
The gum around my wisdom tooth flared up, peri something or other and I have to have an extraction too.

I was told you shouldn’t use clove oil in pregnancy unless a doctor tells you to as it can be harmful, it’s so painful and I can barely talk 🙁

He knew I was pregnant and told me it was fine, I mentioned it to my doctor too and he okd it 🤷🏼*♀️ but obviously go with what your Dr etc have told you! I also used some of DDs teething gel, which helped
