Terrible pain this morning

I was lying in bed this morning and had my hands rested on my tummy and all of a sudden I felt the most awful tight and sharp pain surging through the bottom of my bump and up inside (front and back - without being too explicit this early in the morning). It lasted for about a minute and I went to the loo and after it eased and I have been fine since.

What the heck was that!?! I have decided after that that I'm definitely having an epidural - it was the most awful excruciating pain and if labour is anything like that, I know I won't be able to manage hours of it, I could barely manage a few more minutes of it.

could be a muscle thing ? i often pull myself when getting up or sneezing and it hurts like hell,

maybe ask your midwife when u next see her ?

Tmi but did it feel better after a poo? I get this now and again and I *think* it's IBS? I remember I had it in first trimester.. Scared the life out of me!

I'm not sure if it is ibs but it seems to make me want a number 2 so I put 2 and 2 together?

hows your bump coming along now annie?

It's definitely visible to everyone who knows but I am still paranoid that people who don't know me might just think 'Gosh, look at the gut on her!'

I have ibs and if it helps I have the same thing every morning and evening just sat there doing nothing after I have moved a little or gone to the toilet even if I is just number one it relives some pressure if it's the same thing labour is much more painful lol x x

Needing the loo springs to mind..I had this in Tri 1 and it was the freakiest most painful thing ever; I remember thinking I was losing the baby and was going to ring the hospital until I went to the loo..labour can be painful but not in the same way iykwim?

Heh, I get this too occasinaly and it too is releived in the same way :) So many aches and pains for us to live with!!
