I sent off the tax credits forms 3 weeks ago and got a letter 2 days ago saying they needed more info. I know I put this info on the original form but phone them anyway to give it to them again.

So, basically it'll be up to ANOTHER 4 weeks beforethey work out my award.

Will they backdate it 3 months or 3 months from the date I sent the form in originally?

:wall: :wall: Someone hates me....

Mine took from January - July because they kept asking for the same things over and over again and for me to confirm things. BUT they did backdate the whole amount.

yep im pretty sure they will back date it hun

Your tax credits should be backdated three months from the date they received your application. Make sure you check your award notice when you receive it, if the backdating hasn't been done for you mske sure you send a letter requesting it. Hope this helps. If you require any further info please let me know, I am currently on a one year break from working in the tax credit office.

Just got mine in (after about 4 weeks) backdated to April. Got the payment before I've had any confirmation in writing, though!
