Anyone else tried phoning this?! It's a nightmare. It just cuts you off.

Renewal deadline is today and I've been ringing for 3 days now.

I've tried aswell, u have to choose another option, that's what I did. X u got to 8 pm x

Choose another option and it says "I'm sorry but we can only deal with tax credit renewal at this time".

Just been reading our pay slips and didn't realise that with our overtime we've gone over the threshold so does that mean I will have to pay back everything pre 2010-2011 tax year? Or just everything from April? Anyone know?

I'm not sure atall.. prob just from April?
Can u not choose any option? That's weird, on Friday I only got cut of on advise but not on no2 x I hope u get there in time x

I did mine online a couple of months ago, I had this problem one year when I couldn't get through on the phone on the cut off day, thought i'd be cut off my money, but I got through the next day and they never said anything about it.

:)

I couldn't get through last year just kept getting cut off, I get my tax credits weekly and they stopped them, took me 9 wks to sort it out and start getting payments again it was a nightmare so did it really early this year xxx

I've tried twice using 2 different options just so I can tell them I've gone back to work and both times it cut me off

i sorted mine out a few months ago, we went over my estimate of what we was going to earn. they just sent me a new letter and cut our tax credits of £30 a week without explanation, but i knew we had gone over. they did this two weeks after informing them x

the helpline is a nightmare every day, hope u get through

It was the same last year-if u didn't get cut off u were on hold for an hour!

Have u remembered to deduct 100 a week off ur smp??

No... I don't even understand that. Deduct £100 per week I have been on SMP off our total earnings?

Deduct 100 pw off every week u were on maternity-so if u were on maternity 39 weeks last year then deduct 3900 off ur total income xx

Oh cool! I didn't realise this, we should come under or just on it then!

so should i have phoned them to adjust my wages for this year? I would have thought they'd have noticed i was getting smp? i havent handed my notice in at work so dont want to ring them and tell them im not going back to work yet!

I don't get tax credits- the whole thing is just too blooming complicated for my liking!

Did you get through in the end ROL?

I tried phoning in the morning and just got cut off but I read online that theyre quietest between 2:30pm and 4pm so I rang them then and got through. I was on hold for about 15 minutes but thats nothing compared to how long Ive had to wait before. I even had to ring them back and got through fine.

Lesson learnt this year....do it earlier! I always leave things to the last minute :(
