Hi, stupid question, but does any one know if a tattoo is bad while TTc, the ink doesn't go into bloodstream etc? Also sunbeds!! I know..i know sunbeds are bad but i'm getting married nd don't want to be the same shade as my dress!!!
i just have a wierd feeling this month, i've actually had no symptoms whatsoever, not due on till next mon, took a hpt and after 5 mins there is a very faint line...maybe evap line??? dunno...i think i'm babbling....

Well the line has disappeared...so must have been an evap line. :(

NO sunbeds and NO tattoos while preggers..they wont even tattoo u if your preggers

I think tanning should be ok normally however seeing as ur ttc maybe leave it as those first few months are crutial for baby and you wont know if ur preggo when u go on it if that makes sense...

No tattoos and definitely no sunbeds.

Sunbeds are so destructive to your skin anyhow, why not get sprayed?

I am sure that the salon would tell you anyway hun!

Best of luck and have a fab wedding day!

Sigh...I miss all the excitement - married two and a half years now!

Sue

I had my last tattoo done when I was infact 4-5 weeks pregnant but unaware, the tattoo healed as normal and my baby is fine. But if you think you might be then I'd leave it :)

a tattoo while ttc wont harm especially if u dnt know youre pregnant like u sed before. As long you are not pregnant id say go for it.

as for sunbeds i dont like them they very harmful, best to go for sprays

A baby/embryo can't regulate it's temperature like we can, and it's about 2 degrees hotter in there.

So, bad for it if a sun bed is hot (I've never been on one to know)

But why not use a spray tan and avoid some of the obvious risks?

Or even just a bit of self tanning cream on areas not covered by your dress- less chemicals :)

Thanks for all the advice. I know, i know, sun beds are bad...its just i have a dead strappy dress and i am prone to pimples which sun bed dries up. But i have taken advice and St tropez it is....ta

I know this might be a little late, abut another note about sundbeds or any sort of sun exposure while you're pregnant really. The hormones associated with pregnancy can actually change the melanin in your skin, which can actually cause photosensitivity in your skin, which in turn can cause patchiness. Last thing you'd want (apart from possible harm to the baby and the damage it does to your skin, and the positiblity of looking like a dried up old prune by the time you're 40) is to have patchy brown skin on your wedding day.

i know, thanks :)
supposed its just with this ttc lark, i tend to put everything on hold and then get a big disappointment, so during this time of 'not knowing' its hard to know what to do! I had the tattoo already so was getting big attcks of guilts and have decided against sunbed..gonna st tropez and hope my spotty shoulders clear up in time
