Tattoos!

Looking through the bumpy pics thread I noticed a few tattoos! I have two, the 'tramp stamp' as its fondly nicknamed on my back - I happen to think its great and dont care what anyone else says ;D and a wee one on my lower left side of my stomach. As this is a rose, I anticipate a rose bush by the end of my pregnancy!

Anyone else got tattoos and stories about how they come to look??

Ive got 6 and would love more. Ive got one just under my belly and it stretched quite abit when i had Adam, the colour seemed to fade too. This is my favourite one x x

I'm gate crashing I have 3 (technically I have 5 but 3 are joined into 1)-the 3 that are joined are a tribal pattern that starts on my right foot by my big toe, goes up the side of my foot, across my ankle and up and round the back of my calf, then I have a dragon/serpent on my lower back and a cross on my tummy. The cross is my favourite and I had it done when I became a Christian and it obviously reminds me what it means to be a Christian. Here's a couple of pics of it;

My whole back is one bit tattoo of a gothic fantasy fairy scene and I'm a bit gutted as I now have to postpone my planed sleeve til little one is here, not told my tattooist yet tho! (hubby is happy as he really dont want me to get a sleeve!) Got various others from my feet upwards too but I've got a little tribal lizard on my lower tummy that will probably be a huge crocodile in a few months! One on my hip got ruined last pregnancy (15 years ago) so had it re-done hopefully it will be ok this time as I'm not sure how many times it can be re-done!

I've always wanted to get mine joined up with a vine of some sort but too scared cos of stretching! I have a tribal butterfly which would suit something extra I think. Where did u guys get your ideas? I think planning tats is a good incentive to think about shifting the baby weight, eh?!

I've got 4.
Number 1 was a small tribal flower on my lower left side of back, about the size of two 50p's put together. I got this at 17 to represent me blossoming into a young women after some of the family troubles I went through between 14-16 years old. I then lost my grandma 11 years ago and in 2007 I decided to get something to remind me of her. I have a small black piece on my right foot with her name intergrated into the piece so she's still with me every footstep i take, so to speak. I then lost my uncle who had brought me up since being a child early 2009 and in November 2009 I got a small one done on my right hip, it's a cartoon of a name he nick named me as a child and still called me it up til the day he died. When people see it they think it's a funny type tattoo as it's a bit mad but I know the real reason Then last October I lost a baby with my partner and as a sign of the baby and always loving him, I have his 2 first initials on my right wrist, it also means a lot to me as it was also my uncle's initials two so it has a double meaning. If you look at it one way, it is my initials and then the other it's his.

Each one of my pieces has major meaning and when I look at them they bring lots of memories back, both good and sad and thinking about it all, makes me feel a whole lot stronger for going through all those experiences xxx

Hi, just lurking back on here and I saw this.

Im a tattoo addict and have been for 16 years or more. I have 19 tattoos including my half sleeve which is in the process of being recovered and fully coloured in again (or was before my BFP!) I have a My Space dedicated to Tattoo artists and love the tattoo conventions.

Sorry im tri hopping again.

I have 3 tattoos
The first is a Claddagh with my daughters initial in the heart its on my right hip.

The second is a large red heart with 3 stars. The 3 stars represent 3 loved ones that have passed away it started with only 2 stars and i added the 3rd the day after my granddads funeral. (you can see this one on my bump pic in tri 2

And the third is a butterfly with my daughters nickname above it and her date of birth below its on my lower back i had that one done 2 days before i found out i was pregnant.

So now i have to think of a new one for when bubs is here
