How old was your LO when he/she could say a couple of words? (other than dada!!) like, intentional and used appropriately

just out of interest :D

i'm still waiting :) :) he says lots of things - but nothing intentionally yet...

ryan said yes when i asked him a question the other day but it was obviously by accident lol and he hasnt said it since, he just says dadda all the time and he hasn't seen his dad in 6 months so i know he hasnt a clue what it means lol!!

You could tell lil miss was going to be a talker from around 10 weeks where she mimicked common words like hello.... she wasn't speaking and had no idea what they were or meant but if you said hello she'd make the same noise and mouth movements... at 4 months she started saying mummum when she wanted boob. (which was all the time  but I couldn't say if she said it because she wanted boob or me... so I didn't classify that as talking either.. by 6 months lil miss could say proper words like cat and mum mum... papa, hiya, bye bye, she was signing then too... so she would sign mummum and milky depending on what she wanted...and cat.. well she'd point at the cat  ... so I would officially say around 6 months... but thats because I could tell for definite that she was talking...

She had a few weeks off a month or so ago when she was learning to walk. SHe put talking on hold... the minute she took her first steps though, her talking was off again  And says very simple sentences.... I lie she says 4 simple sentances of 2 words... Bad mummy, bad papa, bad Tia and bad cat

My all favourite one though is word shes just mastered is huggie... mummy huggie... and she wants a cuddle.. it just melts my heart

Tia didn't really talk though until she was 2 years old so this is all new to me. Only said her first word at 18months which wasn't understandable until she was 3 years old. :?

Nathans only just started at 22 months. I'd say my girls probably started around 10 or 11 months.

Finlay has started to copy things people say :D

He's still on dada though but his new one is "t" for Ta

Ellie says a few things intentionally & knows what they mean...
Dada... Doe (Jo/me)... Cat... Wa'saat (Whats that?)... No...

She also copies/says loads of others but doesnt usually know what they mean :) she babbles all day everyday  its good to talk lol! x
