You see,.Stephan would probably get pronounced as Stephen which we dont want so Stefan is the best bet

I like Mark and David the best, but then I like traditional names. Not so keen on Stefan but that's just me xxx

It is indeed Sevastian but DH is.saying it will be a pain cause of the spelling plus he doesnt like names that can be shortened.
Traditional is difficult because of 2 languages
