I know that this is a really minor little worry, but hopefully the whole point of this forum is to soothe those niggling little worries we all have!

My wife has been feeling little kicks and such fairly regularly for a couple of weeks, but hasnt felt anything for a couple of days. Can anyone confirm that they have had similar periods when any activity seemed to stop?

SURE all ok, as I said - but always good to have those little worries laid to rest!
Thanks all
Jimmer

yep, i had this the other day..

i'd been feeling kicks everyday for few weeks, but then for about day and half nothing?! not even the movement feelings, i was too scared to listen on dopler incase something was wrong, but then i did, and his lil heart was beating, and could here him moving, i can only put this down to the posistion he was in. He could have been kicking towards my bk, but couldnt feel, or just having a rest in general..

Your bubs will still be moving and will be fine, just playing hide and seek, after i used the dopler, but must have turned around because few hours later, he started kicking like crazy..

could try cold drink/fizzy drink, try her lying on her tummy, always gets my lil one kicking..

hope this helps :-)

although i havent felt proper 'kicks' yet i have felt 'pops/bubbles' this has happened a few times although i will feel it a few times one day...then not for a few days....im sure everythings fine hun, as i havent experienced proper kicks yet i would ring your midwife and ask her as i cant really tell you!! :D x

Hi Jimmer

Im a few weeks behind and its my first so i cant talk from experience but i will tell you i have read loooooads of these posts. Always been absolutely fine i think all pregnant women experience it at some point, its only natural to worry but it will just be how your LO is lying :)

happens to everyone ...they often go through very quiet spells making us worry ..i bet as soon as you got holda a doppler or got on monitor the lil naughty seed would shift lol
I find that when i use doppler that's the main times i feel her kicking - only a small number of times i have felt her when im not using the doppler/something on my tummy :D

Thank you all - exactly the sort of wonderful reassurance I have come to expect from you wonderful girls.

I know it was an absurd worry, but thanks for reassuring anyway.

It is for exactly this that I am tempted to get a Doppler - give it 24 hours of not kicking, and I think I will be unable to resist any more!

Thank you all.

Jimmer

Don't worry (easier said than done!) I'm sure everything is fine. When I first started to feel LO I didn't always feel them everyday, as the weeks go on you will probably notice the movement increase but it also depends on how LO is lying. Hope this helps

At your wifes stage of pregnancy theres still so much room for baby to move around that all it would take is a change in position for her to no longer feel the kicks.

This happened to me at 25 weeks, after feeling her move every day for weeks she suddenly stopped and funnily enough upon scanning her she'd totally flipped postion and thats why i could no longer feel her.

The others are right though a dopler is great, and you can still get use out of it when they're big, i had mine out just last week when she went quiet
