Ive decided to give my child ready break for up stage of his solids in the morning and the first time I gave him it WITHOUT sugar he spat it out and wouldnt take it so i put a tiny bit of sugar in it to add some taste for him.
Is this wrong ??

As a parent i didnt want to put anything with added sugar an this one agreed with my partner aswell but ive kinda broke the rule an had to put sugar in his breakfast because not only does it taste bland it looks like sore dust aswell :eh:.
Can anyone recommend what kind of breakfast he can have thats already got abit of sugar init an that i dont have to put sugar in??
He is 8 months old an hes already noticed the bland tastes with no sugar in !!
Help ??
Thanks lol x

Tried that creamed porridge of cow and gate thats in the small box but the amount my baby is on in the morning and there 3 for a £5er so there gone within like twice a week i could use it all up. Hes a chunky monkey ya see lol.
So i need something idealy that will fill him up but with hardly ne sugar in well some sugar but no added sugar if you get me :D lol x

Tbh the amount of sugar that is in the jars in immense adding a forbid sugar to his brekkie is prob way less xx

I use those Ella's Kitchen pouches cos Oscar loves sweet stuff but it's all natural. there is one that is something like banana, yoghurt and rice which is really filling it sats and a strawberry and banana one and loads more

I wouldnt mind getting things with or without sugar but i know if i gave lil man without sugar he wont eat it and hubby was so abdament he didnt want our baby having nething with sugar in it but there is some things that some times need sugar init :S lol x

you could always add a spoon of jam or some squished up strawberries to it :)

I would mix mashed banana into anything you want sweetening as its a natural food type, baby food manufacturers put too much sugar in thier foods.

Like the girls said, you could try fruit that have a naturally sweet taste x

Shame he dont like banannas lol.
Ive brought him cream porrige with basically no added sugar in it.
When i gave lil man ready break i put a hint of sugar caster sugar init because its very bland an also put some milk in with it aswell as warm water he looooved it but because it was caster sugar and that it had no suger in it wats so ever i put a hint in it an because hubby sed all along before i had baby he sed not to give him sugar.
So this morning cos i chucked ready break away i gave lil man 3 mushed up rusks for breakie yeah he didnt mind but i also didnt see a problem with a hint of sugar i no its not good for them but its not like i put loads in it lol.
I think some people need to chill (OH that is haha) x

Well me boy can have a tiny bit of chocolate its not like give him loads lol. I just buy things with baby things on with no added sugar because of the sugar already in the fruit jars and things like that :D x
