Sudden Constipation, or baby pressure? 38 wks

Well, this may be my 4th but each pregnancy is full of surprises!

Last 48/72hours ive felt like my body is getting geared up. Lots of signs (getting fed up of them really!) the warm up isn't necessary!
Have had loose easy bowel movements last few days , not been an issue. Suddenly, today - even though I went this morning, I suddenly feel painfully constipated. Have sat down on the loo hundreds of times today and nothing! Can't sit down, and it hurts to stand, really painful lower back pain. Could this just be baby pressure, and possibly labour is coming in the next 24 hours - - - ha ha wishful thinking!

Thankyou. I managed a number 2 last night which relieved abit of the pressure. But today it's turned into really sore tummy ache, period pain, I'm not getting hopes up. I'm still 2 weeks away so shouldnt moan! I feel for you guys going over:/ I went over with my first 2. Hope you're progressing even if it's slowly! x

my labour with Blake started a bit like that! Just general aching in my pelvis and general digestive area. Fingers crossed!

Sugar how you feeling now?
I've had this today but it turned into loose bowel movements! Honestly was awful, I felt so sick and faint when I was going and was (sorry for tmi lol) and it was so uncomfortable. Xxx

It's not been as bad, I think it's a side affect from my iron infusion on Monday. But babys position could be causing added pressure down there too! I feel like I have to sit there ages, and it's so uncomfortable to actually go, but it's not hard or anything! Very odd. Think it's just baby's head in the way now! Hope you're ok jenbob x x

doesn't sound nice! Hopefully it will sort itself out!
I'm ok now - went quite abit earlier on but seems to have settled now. Think I may have just had a little bit of illness rather than anything happening! Xxx
