Such thing as too much sex?

Hello!

My husband and I have been married almost 2 years and we have decided to start TTC. He will be 30 and me 23. We have a very active sex life throughout my cycle. Could too much sex hinder our chances of getting pregnant?

It can affect the amount of sperm in each ejaculation, I guess. Some people say less is more, but I think that's more because when TTC some people find they're only having sex to make babies, and it can become a chore and/or stressful. Have as much or as little sex as you guys want!

Yes, if you do it every day there will be less semen. Every other day is fine. And he should take zinc.

My doctor told me everyday is good. It’s less semen in each load, but more overall. Do what makes you comfortable! Every other day also seems to work for many

So weird how different doctor's advice can be!! My doctor told us the exact opposite. Wish there could just be a guide book on how to TTC with the best results I guess at this point I have too much information!

Lol. I'm sure that back when we started we were told that every day reduced the quality and the volume, although fertility stuff changes all the time with them finding out new information and I am talking nearly 8 years ago, lol. I think 2-3 times a week is ideal from what I recall.

As you are just starting out TTC and you already have an active sex life, I would just do what you do normally and enjoy already. Sadly we have ended up in this for the long haul and to say it has totally killed our sex life is an understatement!! Seriously, the best advice I can give you is relax and enjoy it at this early stage and I hope your journey is short. Good luck.

Moomin Girl- Thank you for the advice, we are doing just that! I don't like the idea of waiting 3 days between.

I ovulated yesterday so FX...Will be testing at the end of the month..
