Stupid question about uploading photos

Sorry to be so thick, but how do you ladies upload your photos? Mine are all much too big (by several MB) to be uploadable on here. Do you all use mobile phone pictures? Only they always come out really dark on my phone for some reason...

I use shrinkpictures.com to resize mine quickly as my camera takes them at 12MB quality so waaay too big to put straight on here! You just upload them, click '25%' or whatever then it puts the smaller pic on the screen for you to download again
