Stupid question about apples

We are going out tomorrow and I went to look for some fruit today for Kai and all I could find were apples. When we go out like this I normally get grapes or blueberries as life is simpler.

I got Kai an apple, can I cut it up and put it in an airtight container as it is? Or do I need to put it in something to stop it going brown?

A bit of lemon juice will delay it discolouring

Lemon juice stops it going brown, but if it does turn colour, don't worry - it doesn't affect the taste or how good it is for you.
