Hello all,

We've just found out we're team pink and really want to find a name we agree on sooner rather than later as we did that with my son and enjoyed him having a name throughout the third trimester.

We're pretty stuck with girls names, I really like forties names but am a bit stuck- our list so far looks like this:

Eloise
Olivia
Eva
Evelyn
Sophie
Jemima
Mollie

Anyone have any other suggestions for good old fashioned names (but not Lillian or Ava as I know too many)

Thanks :)))

Martha
Olive
Rose / Rosa
Florence
Violet

Violet, Connie, Elodie, Edith (edie), Evie, Dot, Pearl, Rose...

My daughter is Eloise Kitty so I'm voting for that :) we also had Evangeline, Kathleen and Maisie on our list.xx

Ah broody I love Elsie but a close friends daughter is called that so I couldn't.

We've been trialing Olivia, but both feel it's just way too popular, I'm not sure if that's a good reason not To go for a name that feels right.

I love Jemima, but would that get shortened to Jem? (Which I don't like)

I think te problem is we're struggling to find a name where we love both the full name and a shortened name they might be called- ie I adore Eloise, but hate Ellie.

It's so hard! (But what a lovely dilemma to have :)

T by its my nieces name she named Elsie after our gran and rose after the dad's nanna. But still it is a lovely name lol x

I love else xx and your right it's a great debate n topic of conversation to be having. I hope to get mine soon xxx

Cora? Enid. Love old names. Have a Mollie Ivy so i'm biased though x

I love names Eve, Ava and Eva! it's beautiful!! and do not need to be shorten;-)

I think we've chosen out name- after my grandma (who died when my daddy was 5) and my husbands mum for middle name. I cried when we said the name so know it's right:

Lillian Gloria :))

I know Lily is really popular, but our spelling with the ie on the (Lillie if we shorten it) isn't so popular.

But I just adore Lillian :))))))))

Oh wow, its a lovely name! Really happy you've found something that you both love

X

I like it very much!! sounds wonderful! Maybe Lily is very popular, but Lilian is much different!

Glad you've found a name you love hun, we have also struggled with girls names but Lillian Kate is on our list as it is both of my nan's middle names :) xxx

Lillian is lovely and not popular, as far as I know. Glad that you have a name you love x
