Hi all,
Been sent home from work as I started having strong pains at bottom of tummy and they were making me feel really faint :( Went to docs and he just said I could be over exerting myself so I've just to have bed rest today. He said that if pain gets worse or is accompanied with bleeding then I should just go to A & E :(

Feeling really down

Constipation can cause lower abominal pains according to Dr Mirriam Stoppard (god I love that book!)

It could be you have over exerted yourself. I think the worse everytime I have a tummy pain, you just have to remember that a lot is going on in there at the moment

Try not to worry too much. I had strong pains, dizziness and some bleeding last week but when they sent me for a scan they reckoned it was all OK. Just take advantage of the bed rest and make sure your OH waits on you hand and foot :)

Hi Jools,

hope you're feeling better soon.

Are they 'uterus' pains or elsewhere in your abdomen? I would never have know where mine was, but since being pregnant, I can definitely pinpoint it because of all the twinges, aches and pulling pains!

Get lots of rest and by tomorrow they'll probably have disappeared.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for replies
The pains were mostly on right hand side of tummy quite low down but seem to have dulled to a cramp now.
I'm sure everything will be fine, just feeling sorry for myself

Hope you are all well

I've had RH lower tummy pains, but they always turn out to be wind or constipation!! Being pregnant sure takes away your dignity!!

Remember, a lot of your intestine is in front of your uterus and ovaries, so the pains could be coming from there.

Having said that, I'm no expert, but that's my experience.
