Stretch marks

Nordic coloured people (blonde & red heads) are more likely to have stretch marks. Something to do with the pale skin not having as much natural elastic as darker.

This is probably true in general, but I am nowhere near as fair as my Mum, and yet I still have stretchmarks where she doesn't! :?

Well i'm naturally pale and a little freckly and i've didn't escape them. So has my sister who has the same colouring as me and so have my two friends that are twins that are also blonde with pale and freckly skin.
So there must be something in it? I was only 7 stone 10 to start with so my skin should have had a lot of room to expand :( ah well.

My mam says she didnt get any, I got them at THIRTY NINE WEEKS! So I was well p*ssed off cos I thought I had escaped them. On a lighter note though its not the stretch marks that bother me now, its the minging saggy belly I have been left with. Its like one of those shrivelled balloons after Christmas. Nice

Oh I know what you mean :(
I finally got all the weight off and got back into size 8's so I was really chuffed and when I went jeans shopping it was only to find that low risers were now in fashion and I couldn't find any that covered up my new pruney skin and marks.
I just pray that the fashion is tummy covering this summer lol.

I've got loads on my legs and bum. My mum's still got sme but they've faded so much you can hardly tell. My sister's got them too - she's 16 weeks pregnant with her 3rd baby.

My mum didn't and nor did I. I am fair and a red head so I guess that theory isn't true either.
