Stretch marks in pregnancy

I am really prone to them anyway (I got them all over my thighs when I went through puberty and again on my stomach when I put on weight a few years ago). I am kinda resigned to the fact that I will get them really bad, and they are just starting now at 21 weeks. I don't think there's much I can do :(

I wear my tiger stripes with pride. My belly is completely covered, right up past my belly button, and I expect they'll spread further with this pregnancy. As others have said, they're a part of pregnancy and they do fade fairly quickly. Embrace them, they're an outward sign of what your body has been through :)

I remember posting a thread when pregnant with my 1st about preventing stretch marks and like people have said here I was told that there wasn't much you could to do prevent them. I drank loads of water and put body shop peach moisturiser on religiously and didn't get anything. I thought I had found the solution. 2nd and 3rd pregnancies I totally forgot to do anything but I still didn't get any stretch marks so it must just be genetic.

I haven't even bothered this time round. I've read that you don't always get them second time round as your tummy has already been so stretched. I've not got any new ones so far and I'm 35 weeks today but there's still time so we'll see!

hello, as i know, it's individual. some people says that it's depends on your skin and if you haven't elastic skin, it doesn't matter if you use oil or anything else, also i know women, who didn't use any oil or specific products during their pregnancy for to avoid stretch marks, but they doesn't have any of them on their body, But i think, if we can help our skin stay es good as it was during pregnancy, why not? i use oil everyday, put it on different parts of my body.

I have to agree! Its a sign your body had done something so outstanding, bringing a child into the world. My friend who can't have kids always says she would rather have a belly covered in stretch marks if it meant she could give birth. My mum told me the creams aren't going to work, the whole family got them in pregnancy and when we gain weight, it just happens to certain people. I only got a few first time but i think I will get quite a few this time x

I've been using bio-oil from the start but I've just had stretch marks start to appear on my boobs, which I find a bit weird actually as they grew loads at the start and I wouldn't say they'd grown any more since then.
