The big question- does it work. im starting to get a little bump now so im considering if/what cream i should be using
i have bio oil but its so greasy it gets on my clothes that i only put a tiny amount on. does any one have any other recommendation on what is good to use
also how often should you be applying and how much cream oil?

I used bio oil religiously and never got any stretch marks UNTIL the last week!! I got them underneath my belly button mostly but my belly was egg shaped and sticking out a lot.

My friend was doing the same and had no stretch marks but again her belly was smaller.

If you are meant to get them you will anyway but it won't hurt to moisturize your belly x

In my first pregnancy I used bio oil as soon as I hit tri 2 . It never worked I was covered in them . I haven't bothered this time around.

I don't think it works I think it's down to genetics. that being said it's nice to sit and rub nice creams on your bump and stops the skin drying out and itching. I used some lovely butter last time and got to 39 weeks no stretch marks, by the time I have birth at 41+2 I was covered. but you wouldn't know now as they're faded to silver

Midwife told me it is down to genetics so although creams/oils can help reduce itching and redness it wont do much to stop them if you are going to get them. I got them bad with my son and was gutted because my Mum, aunt and gran never so I'm blaming my dad's side for them

Agree with the ladies above, if ur going to get them ur going to get them no creams will stop them. How ever sometimes ur stretching skin csn get a tad itchy so keeping it moisturiserised is always good i used palmers belly butter xx
