Does any1 know how much stress can't affect the baby? My mum has suddenly ended up on life support and this was a shock to us all. We have been told there is nothing more that can be done. It also happened away from home so have slept in the hospital for the last week. I have felt baby kicking everyday but not sure what I should be doing. Any advice would be great x

Oh hun I am so sorry   I'm not 100% sure on how stress affects LO's but baby kicking as normal is a good sign xx

Im so sorry about your mum hunny :hugs: hope things start to improve for you sweetie.
Im not sure on the effects of stress on baby but feeling him/her kick is a great sign that all is ok in there x x

I'm so sorry about your mum  But try not to worry too much and make sure you are being well looked after too, as I'm sure looking after yourself is the last thing on your mind right now. While stress can have an effect on your pregnancy, as long as you take care of yourself you and your baby should be fine - studies of stress during pregnancy have shown that increased alcohol intake and a less healthy diet as a result of stress are major contributors so just make sure you take some for yourself  x

I'm so sorry about your mum. I'm sure baby is fine as your feeling movement regularly, just try to eat and drink plenty, even though I doubt you feel like it. Your in one of those horrible situations that you can't escape the stress and upset, all you can do is try your best to rest your own body too and lean on your friends and family to make sure you don't bottle your feelings up. Really feel for you just now, thinking of you and your family xx
