Hey girls, I know more than anyone how stressful pregnancy can be, not been pregnant but all the changes and finical worries.... and the rest! Your getting my drift, well I was so depressed with everything going on as you properly read in one of my posts on here, well I don't like taking medication in-case it effects baby. So... I saw something that caught my eye 'a fish foot spa' basically you put your feet in the water and the little fish nibble away at your dead skin, doesn't sound to apeeling I know! But it was lovely, it was like putting your feet on a filter in a jacuzzi or foot spa, was lovely!! For 15 minuites it was a tenner, you can also have your hands done. It was closed off a bit in a corner of a shopping centre so passers by couldn't have a nose (that would of put me off), while sitting there, theres music playing softly in the background (meditation music) it was lovely, when I stood up I felt so refreshed. So I do recomend some pampering at the beauty salon, Oh paid for it as a b'day present, but just tell them to pay anyway after all you are carrying their son/daughter around 24-7 so they need to thank you some way ;) I can't wait for my next vistit! It's lovely, I felt like a new person lol! Amazing...

We have one of these just opened in Leeds and I cant stand feet and it makes me cringe. Feet are minging and the thought of fish nibbling the dead skin OMG no lol. Im glad you enjoyed it though. x

I'd give it ago if I saw it I think, though I'd probably shriek with laughter if the fish tickled ;-) x

I'd give it a go too, think I'd be too ticklish tho! Was thinking about treating myself to a massage, we've got to have a few perks all the things we give up and how stressful tri 1 can be!

The thought of fish biting my feet really freaks me out. I get all freaked out when I go into the sea and paddle. Lots of folk like it though. I'm with cherry, feet totally freak me out

Ooooh I'm getting this done on Thursday - nibbly fish then a foot and leg massage and then my toe nails done for £20! Dead excited! I love having my feet massaged and DH is less than keen so it's a proper treat!

i saw one of these in leeds, it was tempting! id defo give it a go to be honest

There's loads of these opening up in and around Leicester. At first I thought it was icky, but now I really want to try it!

I had it done last week :)
I won a night away at a spa with a few treatments, so I took my mum and we added a few extras too so we were properly pampered :)

I loved the garra rufa fish, they don't bite you, they don't have teeth, they suck at the dead skin and drop it .....when you first put your feet I'm it's very odd and tickle, but once I got used to it it was lovely....only tickle when they went right in the middle of the bottom of my feet lol
My feet werenamazing afterwards, very impressive for some little fish

I think we all deserve a bit of pampering

I had this earlier on - my feet are amazing! It felt so weird! At first it felt like I was standing on bubbly seaweed, then it tickled a bit. It was worse when I looked at them, it looks so funny them all swarming over your feet, but if you don't look it just feels like bubbles blowing around your feet. I'm definitely going back :D

OMG!! I have never heard of this!! sounds great , but made me think of piranas till I read the replys to the post! sounds like a great way to relax, glad you enjoyed it

Wow certainly sounds good!
I first saw this on that programme "Don't tell the Bride". One of the men got their wife-to-be this treatment for her hen night :p I found it very weird. Then some girls on Facebook were saying they had it done.

I'd certainly give it a go. Thanks for sharing your feedback on them! xxx

I tried to have this done when I was 10 weeks and was told by the salon pregnant women aren't allowed to have this treatment in the 1st 2 trimesters as it can cause problems but later on in tri3 its recommended as it can bring on labour. So I was gutted as they wouldn't let me have it :( but they must be wrong if other places are allowing it, I think I'm gonna google it cos id love a relaxing fishy foot treatment right now :)

id be scared to stand on a fish :/

You just dangle your feet in from a seat so no chance of squishing a fishy!

I just had my second one and it was less ticklish this time :D

Stress and anxiety is truly a monster. I actually seek to handle this day-to-day by using stress meditation techniques.

We have one of those in our town too - loads of people say it's a great experience! Like others have said though - feety things are really not for me! Hehe :)

I fancy a pampering session but not the fish. You know the fish'd keel over as soon as I put my gammy feet in there.
