Strange Symptoms before, during and after ovulation?? advise please??

Hi Everyone

Okay so me and my partner have been TTC for 2 years. we are both due to go have some fertility tests after being referred by our doctor as from the info we have given, he cant understand why we are having a problems

Anyway. this month i my 1st day of my cycle was 15th Dec, so after calculating, my ovulation date was 31st dec (which was confimred after doing a home ovulation test, got my smiley face

So me and my partner had sex sat 26th, Mon 28th, Wed 30th and fri 31 (ovulation day)

now since 29th i have had dull period type aching and bloating, that has lasted through to ovulation, which on ovulation was mainly in my back, and had still not gone. (today being 2nd).

Im trying not to concentrate on it, or get my hopes up as im sure you cann all understand about trying not to get hopes up to much. does anyone know what this could be?

The pains could have been ovulation pains as they started just before you ovulated - it's possible that you always get them to some extent but you're noticing them more now? There's no chance that you could already be pregnant is there? Fingers crossed for you this month if not - perfectly timed sex for ovulation on 31st anyway!

well we have regular sex anyway, not just at the time of ovulation. we just pay attention to it more around that time, as we try to not make it a military operation, to relive some pressure, so to speak.

There is a small chance, but i was under the impression from what ive read that you cant get pregnant any other time of the month, just arounf ovulation????

You can only get pregnant around the time of ovulation, so as long as you know when you ovulated it's unlikely that you got pregnant earlier in the month - I meant from the previous month, as some bleeding and pains like the ones you have been having aren't uncommon in early pregnancy, although if your last period seemed normal it's probably unlikely. Ovulation tests will also detect hCG, so can show positive if you're pregnant too. Fingers crossed all the pains since ovulation are a sign that something is happening now though
