haven't posted many posts but have a question.

Is it ok to eat egg custards when pregnant?

i really want one!

Apparently, if you eat the ones sold in supermarkets it's fine, since the eggs have been pasteurised. However, homemade ones are not recommended (that includes all foods that contain uncooked eggs, i.e homemade mayonaise or homemade tiramisu etc).

Get one from the supermarket and you'll be fine! Enjoy!

As long as there all pasturised and you buy from the suoermarket then there fine.

For the first 15 weeks I avoided everything with Mayo like the plague, even checked indredients. Then my sister told me it's only home made mayo and I thought - WHAT? who on earth makes thier own mayo???

Some restaurants may make their own mayo using unpasteurised eggs.

I wouldn't even know where to begin making my own mayo but I do love mayo and when i'm not up the duff any more (as OH puts it lol) I shall try making some
