Strange feeling in leg...

Hi, I gave birth a week ago today and everythings been brilliant, but this evening I noticed my calf muscle feels strange! It's not swollen or red but it feels as though it is going to cramp all the time just below the back of the knee, its not painful, just feels weird! I've worked myself up into thinking I have DVT now though and I can't sleep, does that sound like anything any of you other ladies have experienced!?! X

Have you been discharged by the mw?

I'd let someone know about that because they were forever asking me if I had pains in my legs. It's something they keep a close eye on.

No I'm still in her care but she has gone on holiday for a week now and I don't have a number for the stand in midwife!! Do u think I could call the ward that I was on after giving birth!? No I delivered totally naturally! X

Yes you can call the ward. At least at the hospital I was in you can call the ward and speak to a midwife up to a month after you've given birth with any concerns you have.

As Tor said it's one of the things you are costantly asked after giving birth so best getting checked just to be on the safe side
