I have just been woken again by the worst leg pain it is a very deep ache in the bottom of my leg around calf and ankle... It isn't cramp.

It is not red, hot to touch or swollen just really sore :-(

Anyone know what it can be? Really don't need more pain

I don't want to scaremonger but seriously go to drs straight away or even a&e and het it checked, its better to be safe than sorry especially with calf pain, I'm sure it will be nothing but better to know. Pregnancy increases risk if dvt as your blood is thicker, so get it ruled out. I had one years ago and I just had the pain no redness etc I didn't get it treated as noone believed me because there was no symptoms other than pain so I believed them and didn't push to be tested and I nearly died so I am quite outspoken on getting leg pain checked as I'd never want anyone to go thru what I did. Hospitals/drs will take any leg pain in pregnancy seriously so won't mind testing u for a dvt then at least u can rule it out as anything life threatening but push for it if they won't, your life & health is the most important thing xxxx

Omg Hun j must have been terrified. I rang nhs direct and they said that if it doesn't get better to go to a&e bit it seems to be gone now will def get it checked out I happens again. X

I used to get pain like that when pg in bed at night. Its something to do with salt levels. Drinking fluids in night helps. Xx

If it was a DVT it wouldn't have gone now. Maybe you had cramp in the night and had forgotten and that's why it's painful now. Or maybe it's just a muscle strain.

I get a lot of pain at night and the midwife said it is basically SPD but in the other joints so in your case prob the ankle. I have it in my knee and the night is the worst as you are leaning on the area. Get it checked out at a&e if your worried tho hun better to be safe than sorry!!
