So I've washed and ironed the first load of baby's clothes, and had to lay them out on the cot and changer as I've come to a complete halt on how to put them away!

We have a wardrobe with two rails and a chest of 3 drawers. What do you hang, what do you put in which drawer etc? I can't for the life of me figure out a system haha!

So what have you ladies done or will do? Xx

For our daughter we hang dresses and outfits like leggings/tops,dungarees etc and coats then in the draws we have one draw for vests/pyjamas and sleep suits and one draw for socks/tights/hats and it used to have bibs/muslins when we used them. The top two little draws have nappies/wipes/creams/thermometer etc in cos the top of our was a changing table we used when she was little and I've never bothered changing what'd in the draws even tho we dont use the table now. All her bedding and towels are in a draw under her cot. You'll figure out a system,I used to enjoy going through her things when I was pregnant xx

Hahaha I remember that exact feeling and I think you just figure out what works for you in the end. Not sure if we're talking girl or boy items here but obviously all girl dresses and coats I hung up and everything else went in drawers. I had small
Half drawers for socks and tights and another whole drawer for bibs. Bigger drawers i had one for t shirts and vests, one for trousers and one for sleepsuits.

Boys - 1 small drawer for socks and 1 small for bibs. One larger drawer for sleepsuits, 1 for t shirts and 1 for trousers. Dungarees or similar outfits I would hang. Also at first when I had far less clothes I used one larger drawer for 0-3 months and 1 larger drawer for 3-6 and then just laid it out with tops on one side and bottoms on the other x

With DS we had a Wardrobe and chest of drawers with 3 small drawers, 2 medium drawers and 1 large draw. I hung all his tops, used the 3 small draws for things like nappies, creams, bath stuff, flannels and socks. The 2 medium draws, 1 for sleepsuits and the other for vests. And then the big drawer for anything else (trousers etc.)

Within a couple of weeks we were living out of the laundry basket as we were getting through clothes because he had either leaked wee, had a poonami or thrown up over at least 3 different outfits per day and again in the night! Not sure what we are going to do with #2 as they will eventually be sharing a room!

Thanks girls this is great so far. We didn't want to find out the sex so we don't seem to have much to hang so far really!

I was wondering about different sizes in the beginning, and was thinking it would just be a case of keeping them all separate, so likely going to be a combination of things in the first two drawers then! I'll probably get into a rhythm once I get started it's more just intital thought process of where to start I think haha. Xx

I also got clear storage bags I could put in the wardrobe for bigger sizes e.g 6-9 months, 9-12 months so that I could wash things and put them all away for later without taking up the drawer space until it was needed x

It's all so small I just use my drawers for everything if I vet et round to putting it away! I was better when DS was a baby but my wardrobe isn't used at all so we're taking it out and giving it to the baby and I'm having a girl this time so might use it more for dresses x

We only keep out the age they're in, and store the rest in black bags for the next one to go into. Anything stored gets a 90 bio wash before being put on them.

For storing them while they're wearing them, I fold baby grows and vests in half at the waist and kept on a shelf in the wardrobe. Now I'll have the three of them, I need to get a chest of drawers each as I'm running out of space fast!

We don't do wardrobes lol. Everything goes in drawers and shelves. Blankets nappies wipes toiletries on the bookcase shelves. vests in 1 drawer. sleepsuits in another. accessories (socks mit's hats bows) in a third.
We have me and daddy an 8yr old and a 3 month old..... not 1 thing hung up in a wardrobe. Open any of our wardrobes and you will find board games lol

We just used drawers and still do. She has 3 drawers in her chest of drawers and two under her cabin bed. If she has an occasion dress, then I tend to hang it with my things as it keeps it nice and it would also take up quite a bit in her drawers. At the moment I have got loads of clothes ranging from 0-3 up to 12-18 (sale shopping) for this baby and it's all been divided into bags. Hoping to get some furniture sorted next month and then when things are washed, they'll be put in the drawers. Baby's room actually has a built in wardrobe, so may use that for some things.

My daughters dresses and cardigans are hung in the wardrobe. Everything else is on shelves or in under bed storage boxes. Her winter clothes are in vacuum bags under her bed as well. Just started sorting out this baby's clothes, it's all neutral at we won't find out what we are having so all sleepsuits and vests will have a drawer each. Hats etc another. The only thing in the wardrobe at the minute is a jacket and my daughters xmas presents I'm hiding! Blankets, wipes and nappies go in the drawer under the cot.

I'm a little sad we don't have any shelves! Looks like everything will be spread between the 3 drawers for now until we get a system and know what sex we have after birth for the extra clothes that will be added in! Just seems a lot to try and fit in vests, sleepsuits, leggings, jackets/cardigans/pram suit etc. Then hats, blankets, socks! Will have to see if we can find some dividers or something, I want a trip to IKEA ha! Xx

Ikea drawer dividers are amazing for baby clothes! You can split the drawer up in segments to keep it all neat and tidy!

We'll hopefully go end of the month/beginning of next! I can't wait haha xx

We just have drawers too. My hubby has a wardrobe for his work shirts/suits but all my clothes and ths kids go in a set of drawers!! X

Ive organised it in this order;

Newborn
0-3 months
3-6 months
coats, cardigans and blankets
Bibs, mitts, socks/shoes
Nappies and accessories like baby carriers and wipes and grooming kit are completely separate in hanging shelves - most of these (stock) will go in under-bed storage unit
