Still sore

My little girl is 8 weeks old, I had her naturally but they had to cut me so I was stitched up. The stitches dissolved after a few weeks & has healed fine. Other than it looking a little red down there after about 6 weeks we dtd, but it felt sore. We've done it a few times since, most recently we tried at the weekend but it was just too sore we had to stop.

How long should it take to fully heal & feel ok during sex? Is it still too soon should I maybe be waiting abit longer?

Any experience welcome.

It may take a little longer to feel back to normal, especially after an episiotomy. I've had 2, and I can say beyond any doubt it took me longer to be pain free from those cuts than a natural tear.

I'd try arnica, lavender baths. It is good you've had sex but don't rush rush, you're only 8 weeks post natal.

If its just soreness and not pain, I'm sure it will settle down soon. I'd say another few weeks and you'll be feeling much better xxx

Thanku for this, I must say we tried again at the weekend as its not felt as sore & it was better. So fingers crossed its on the mend.
