I hope you don't mind me posting in 3rd Trimester but just wanted to ask you lot who have already been past the stage I am if you have experienced a similar problem. I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant and I do feel my baby move but they are still not really defined and regular kicks and my partner still cannot feel the kicks either when he places his hand on my stomach :( Did anyone else have this problem at this stage of pregnancy?

Im sure in the next few weeks he will start to feel the baby moving alot and you will start to see your belly moving too :)

Im not sure when my partner could start feeling the kicks but im sure it was about 25 weeks.

from about 28 weeks the MW normally tells you to look out for 10 kicks a day, whether its all at once or spread out

that means baby is happy in there

Thanks. I think my partner is getting a bit impatient. lol. Whenever I say "oh, bump is awake" he immidiately puts his hand on my belly but he cannot feel a thing even though baby is really active sometimes.

My other half couldn't feel the baby moving/kicking at all, until Yesterday, he thought I was going insane.

I also know 2 women that couldn't really feel the baby moving much at all until they reached 29 weeks plus, the doctor said everything was ok and not to worry at all.

If you are really worried, call your midwife/doctor, they will reassure you xx

Sometimes you can miss lots of your LO's movement as you're moving yourself, and if you're busy and on auto-pilot you'll notice even less, try not to worry but always go see your MW if you are, they can doppler for the heartbeat anytime to ease any concerns
Babies are sometimes most active late at night or early morning, so note your LO's busy time and get OH to stick his hand there for a good 5mins untils he gets kicked  My OH only felt Isaac kick rarely, he would always stop kicking/moving when he put his hand on my bump

my oh could feel the baby from about 25/26weeks or hear the heartbeat. think kicking was about then too. i never noted it down and should of really when baby first kicked.

you will feel the baby soon im sure it does depend on size of u also as it varies from different people. what midwifes know tho they been doing it for years and years so they know :)

as they have said if u worried u should call them :) what we pay our taxes for :)

Lol. That happens to my partner too. I feel the kicks but as soon as I mention it to my partner he puts his hand there and baby stops kicking or starts kicking in a different place

I remember getting myself into a right state... i was convinced that things had went wrong again for me.... scared to go to get a check up... i couldn't tell if it was baby or my body movements.......i worried myself ill....... I was 26 weeks at the time..... Now :rotfl:
It took some very strong friends on here, giving me that push to find out what was going on with bump and to face up to my fears before I finally went to the hospital for a check up...... Hospital gave me into trouble for worrying for so long over nothing...... Every pregnancy is different and movement is different for everyone too... I was just a bit later in feeling it.... NOW...... i look so much bigger and baby kicks all the time... not only do i feel it but i can SEE it too...

go get the doppler from your MW/// don't worry yourself ill like I did... and enjoy your pregnancy.. lo will soon be letting you know he's wanting attention.... :cheer: Love yvonne xx

I'm sure bump is fine then. As long as I can feel some movement I shall try not to worry too much because of stressing bump out. Afterall, the way we feel and behave in pregnancy affects our LO's so I'm just trying to stop worring and just be happy that I do feel plenty of movement. I just wish my OH could feel him too :( Will speak to my midwife in early September when I see her to put my mind at rest then. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy the little movements I do feel. Some days they are stronger than others but I believe that this is totally normal. x x

I hardly felt Rubys kicks when I was PG, I worried myself sick all the time...I got a doppler so could hear her heart beat but she was such a lazy baby!!! Shee loves her sleep now, so i think she was the same in the womb.

OH didnt feel her kick till around 36 weeks and only then did he feel it a few times

Try not to worry too much
