Well I went to the CMU this morning for my sweep and they were unable to do it as the cervix was too far back. I had a Bishops Score of 2!! She wrote on my notes the the cervix was long, soft, posterior and closed. So it doesn't look promising that I will go into labour naturally before next weekend. I have to go back on Thursday and she will try to do the sweep again.
When I arrived she checked the babies heartbeat and it was 166... so they hooked me up to the monitors for 20 mins but it seemed to calm down again. The midwife reckons I must have been having a tightening at the time thats why it was raised.
Oh and I found out when i go for induction next weekend they will keep me in on the Saturday and insert the gel... to try and start me off. If that doesn't work I will get the drip the next day.
I feel quite deflated now.. Had really hoped that something would happen this weekend! I'm dissapointed that I am past my due date and don't seem to be progressing!!
