Was just wondering if anyone has seen such stats anywhere?

Would be interesting to read what percentage of girls give birth on week 38, 39, 40 etc... I did try to google it, but didn't find anything.

I think 40 weeks is much lower than 38 and 42 weeks, read it somewhere but can't remember where!

If you go onto the pregnology website and put your due date in you,ll come up with how many weeks and days preg you are and at the bottom there are some stats and a graph. Or alternatively click on someone's pregnology ticker and it will take you straight to the page.

At the beginning of week 38, -2 weeks before the due date-, 2 out of 10 women already gave birth.
At the beginning of week 39, -1 week before the due date-, 4 out of 10 women gave birth.
At the beginning of week 40, -the due date-, 7 out of 10 women gave birth.
At the beginning of week 41, -1 week after the due date- 9 out of 10 women gave birth.

Thats the bit copied and pasted for you x

And i'm sure I read somewhere that 5% of women give birth on due date

You should start a poll on here to give you and idea :)

I was week 39 although when I calculated from my last lmp I would have been 40 weeks and my private scan suggested he would arrive a week early and he did!! Xx

JM why are you upset about that? Less waiting is good, isn't it?

Just always wanted to reach my due date for some strange reason lol!!

those stats don't make sense? So out of the 10 women, it adds up to 22 women. Not very helpful, unless I'm reading it totally wrongly.

I think its including the women who had already given birth by that time eg 7 out of 10 had given birth by week 40 2 by week 38 4 by week 39 and 7 by week 40

Yep, thats including the girls who already gave birth. if you look at the graph you will see what they mean :)

My sis went into labour at 6am bang on her due date and gave birth by 5pm to my nephew! I hope my labour is like that!xx
