I don't know of this is a growth spurt but I'm sick of putting her to the boob.

She's headbutting and getting angry and then when I take her off to wind her she is spraying everything in sick. She's gone through 3 vests already this morning, I'm covered in sick. I stink and need a shower but I can't put her down 5 mins.

I haven't been able to make up her Gaviscon because I can't get downstairs!

I'm just wandering about my upstairs with a baby in my arms and my boob out covered in sick.

Today is a low point. :(

No one will take me seriously about the spitting up either. Mentioned it to 3 health professionals yesterday and they just aren't interested at all. They keep telling me she's thriving and doing really well.

Ffs!!

Torino does she still vomit in let's say you feed her while laying down and just leave her down for 20 min and then wind her?
Some babies can't handle the change of positions immediately after they had a meal.

Growth spurts are tough hun, Harry is on day 3 of one at the moment and i'm exhausted, hes not slept for 2 nights in a row and just feeding non stop.

Hope your ok, hang in there :hugs: xxxx

She vomits if I leave her alone after feeding. She vomits all day long really, sometimes not even after a feed.

Awww... Hope you are ok, growth spurts are really tough, but it will come to an end. Can't you take LO downstairs with you to make up some gaviscon... If she cries a bit at least the gaviscon might prevent more sick. I also stink of sick today and can't make it to the shower... Urghhh...

Have you tried a baby carrier at all? I can do some things one handed, but when I need 2 hands I usually pop him in his Baby Bjorn, works like a charm, he watches everything I do and keeps him entertained. Andhe enjoyed the rocking as well when he was younger.

Is it projectile vomiting?

No I don't think so, it come out fast and goes everywhere but I don't think it's projectile.

The mw saw it yesterday and said it was normal. She only saw it once though, she does it 3-4 times per feed minimum.

I've got a carrier yes, used it this morning to try and put her down for a nap and then she woke up again 5 mins later for a feed I can only presume.

Aaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh

She may has a grade of pyloric stenosis, quite common and she will grow out of it and you can't do much more than feeding her smaller feeds more often.

no wonder your dreading feed time. What a nightmare!!

I'd keep on hassling the doctor about it, HV are useless (in my opinion) theres no way the doctor can say its normal.
