Since being pregnant I've been suffering with spots, mainly on my face, few on my shoulders and back ☹️ I've tried a few different face washes but nothing seems to be working. I know it's just hormones but it's starting to get me down.

Has anyone else experiences this problem? Is there anything I can do/use to help reduce them?

Thank you! X

YES!!!

ITS SO ANNOYING!!!!

I have tried EVERYTHING, nothing will get rid. I currently use a coal face soap from Lush to get my skin really clean on my face, but still get spots.

It is hormonal but I am 16 weeks now and still have them.

I've got a few face scrubs to help exfoliate but it's a losing battle! I'm 26 weeks and barely seeing an improvement.

I've thought about face masks but never really used them

im afraid im nearly 36 weeks and i am still spotty - getting worse, ive found using a powder foundation helps as it dries them out but other than that nothing has worked 100%

i have them all over my chin, forehead and on my chest! all ones that pop too! full of gunk. my mam says im allergic to being pregnant lol xx

That's what mine are like, same places too! Still waiting for that "glow' people talk about

im still waiting for the 'Glow' too!

mine are on my chin and the sides of my forehead really red too! every time i look in the mirror i have a squeeze just trying not to wear any make up if i can and look ugly for the sake of trying to clear them up - im hoping when he is here they will vanish

I am 18 weeks pregnant and developed spots at 6 weeks pregnant. I tried everything and in the last 2 weeks have been using Liz Earle and although I still have spots there has been a massive improvement. I have just used the cleanse and polish and toner. I tried an exfoliator but that made me skin red and sore!

It gets better! Well luckily it did for me, I had loads they were driving me up the wall x

Me too! I'm trying apple cider vinegar and it seems to be working. Apparently whiteheads are a sign of carrying a boy too! X

Mine were terrible and I got to the point that I bought pro-active (you know the cheesy advert on the telly) anyway I used it two or three times and it cleared them up, the stuff is amazing!
The reason I stopped using it was because I read you shouldn't use during pregnancy or should speak with the GP first.
I have not had a bad outbreak since and gone back to regular face wash.

Hope they clear up for you soon x

I had it with my first pregnancy (a girl) and haven't suffered much at all with my two boys. What I've found to be really good for keeping on top of things (I have acne prone skin anyway) is using a liquid exfoliator - I'd never heard of them til a friend recommended one. I use Paula's Choice 2%BHA liquid exfoliater which I've found is cheapest on a website called lookfantastic. They usually have 20% off deals running too. Then not quite as expensive as the exfoliator is Eucerin active concentrate that you put on after cleansing and it dries everything out - I've bought it online but Boots sell it too. I also just use Boots own brand cucumber face wash at night x
