Trouble is ladies all these nasty spots are caused by hormones..until our hormone levels drop there isnt anything we can do to get rid of them!

My professional advice as a therapist is to ensure your cleansing, toning and moisturising (a skincare routine that should be done regardless to whether you have spots or not), exfoliating once a week to remove all the surface cells and help renew the skin and if you can apply a mask once or twice a week to purify the skin and calm it. This should be done on spots on the body too.

Try and purchase a mask thats got high clay or kaolin content as this helps to dry out the blemishes.

Also as boring as it tastes try and drink loads of water.

Thats the best you can do really....hormonal spots cannot be 'cured' but you can reduce the inflammation by doing the above :)

damn it i was a cure! lol but thanks for ur advice Jaidy x

I suffered badly with spots when pregnant with my son and they were like you girls on my chin and sometimes on my back. I still get them now on my chin which I never really used too. They are no where near as bad though.

Hi Ladies I have to say that after reading your posts I feel quite lucky as all my spots seem to be on my back and shoulders.
OH is brilliant though as I asked him to put some cream on my back the other night and as he was doing it he said 'wow you really have got so spotty on your back since you've been pregnant haven't you'
Just what I wanted to hear!!!!! then I spent ages trying to look at my back in the mirror!!!! :(

Thanks for the advice though. i'm the same as you ladies spots galore especially on my face, around my chin and jaw line, it does get me down big time, like jade im going through loads of concealer.

I was commented on how shiny and full my hair looked last night, try to concentrate on the good things thats what i say

I've got spots running from my chin up to my ear on one side, I'm so spotty and self concious of them. I hate it when my skin flares up, can't even look at people when they talk to me as I am sure they're staring at it :(

I was like that but its gone down now, just my bavk and sholders.
I had none with Luke
